  4. Now run File Explorer (Windows+E) and go to C:\ProgramFiles\Intuit\QuickBooks(year)\Components.

  5. Right-click the downloadqbXX (XX denotes product version) folder and select Rename.

  6. Type .old at the end of the folder name and save it.

  7. Open QuickBooks and download the payroll updates.
